I think Omar is strong. According to the text, he puts up with ”tall Ali”, school, Hanssan, and extra things he has to do. I can’t believe he took the offer of getting extra water in the morning to learn english! Getting water tkes a lot of work there. I hope he continues with school.

I think the boys that go to school are supper mean. According to the text, they call him Dantey. When they call him Dantey he kind of likes it because his dad wa called that too so it reminds him of his dad. The author said that ”tall ali” ws making Hanssan cry by fake crying. What a jerk. Luckily Omar got over there quickly so he made ”tall ali” stop.

I think Jerome’s mom and dad are feeling better. According to the text Jerome’s mom and dad are not feeling as strained as they were before. Jerome was looking down at them thinking how happy they all look together. I hope that Jerome will see himself as a person they all need and not just think of them.
